Christmas Tree Sand dune project – Ayr Beach
Siobhian has fully supported the South Ayrshire Council Park Rangers Sand Dune project at Ayr Beach. Over the past several years, Ayr Beach has seen a huge amount of sand erosion. In 2019, the public were encouraged to bring down Christmas Trees to form sand dunes. The project was a huge success and the dunes formed have made a significant positive impact on the reduction of sand loss. The project continued in 2020 to extend further along the beach and has had a huge response from the public.
